Accommodations Related to Another’s Disability

If you require an accommodationA reasonable adjustment to job duties or work environment to enable an employee to perform the essential parts of his/her job without causing undue hardship related to someone else’s disability:

  • Talk to your supervisor to see if the request can be accommodated without disclosing any confidential medical information.
  • If your supervisor is unsure about the request, or if you wish to bypass your supervisor, fill out an Accommodation Request Form and submit it (with medical certification) to HR Shared Services.
  • HR Shared Services will consider your request and make best efforts to grant your request. Requests are discretionary depending upon the reason and business needs.
