Take a Leave for Other Reasons

If you need to take a leave unrelated to medical reasons, such as military service or jury duty, consider the following:

  1. Notify your supervisor as soon as possible about the intention to go on leave for any reason.
  2. Call Sedgwick at 1-855-311-9661 Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT. A coordinator will help you determine the type of leave you might qualify for.
  • If there isn’t a specific leave available to you, you may request a personal leave through Sedgwick. Personal leaves are meant for reasons not covered by other specific leaves and are discretionary depending on the reason and business needs.
  • Because these leaves are less common, contact Sedgwick and follow their guidance on what is needed to have a leave approved and what, if any, payment options are available.
